Happy New Year NCSHLA Members!

A new year brings new opportunities for growth and change, and 2018 could be an historical turning point for NCSHLA.

Your Board of Directors and Committees have spent the last 6 months laying the groundwork for a complete renovation. February 3rd, NCSHLA leaders from around the State will gather in Greensboro to design a long-term Strategic Plan. The main areas of focus will be Communication, Membership, Continuing Education, and Structure of the Association.

Together, the Strategic Planning committee will design goals for the Association. Then, these goals will be shared with members at the Business Meeting in March.

As President, I could not be more proud of the Board and Committee Chairs serving the audiologists and speech pathologists of North Carolina. This process has not been easy-- lots of emails, phone calls, midnight texts, and meetings (some scheduled, some not). Through it all, we have honored our Founders' vision, while excitedly preparing for the future.

I am often asked, "What does NCSHLA have to offer?" My latest answer is an exciting future with updated technology, opportunities for leadership, strong governmental advocacy, and member recognition.

But enough about me, how can NCSHLA better serve YOU? We want to hear from audiologists and speech pathologists from all settings. Your suggestions will be given directly to the Strategic Planning Committee. Send future-focused feedback to info@ncshla.org.

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors,

Have a wonderful and blessed year!

Amy

P.S. Keep an eye out for exciting new changes already being implemented.
