SLP-Assistant Examination Information

The North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) is the regulatory body responsible for the registration of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-Assistant) in North Carolina. SLP-Assistant Examination Requirement

The SLP-Assistant exam is a competency assessment required as part of the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant registration process in North Carolina. The purpose of the exam is to ensure that candidates demonstrate the foundational knowledge necessary to safely and effectively assist licensed speech-language pathologists within their delegated scope of practice and under appropriate supervision.

Option 1: North Carolina SLP-Assistant Exam

To prepare for the SLP-Assistant exam in North Carolina, start with the official requirements and guidelines from the NCBOESLPA, which oversees SLP-Assistant registration and competency testing in the state. For the most current and accurate information regarding C-SLPA exam registration, applicants should refer directly to the ASHA websiteAs outlined by ASHA, once an applicant has been approved to take the SLPA exam, they will receive an email from ASHA with instructions and information on how to complete the exam registration process.
