Billing continues to be an evolving and challenging component to audiologic care. On January 1st, a new set of 12 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) codes became available to describe the professional services provided by audiologists for hearing device-related services. This seminar will discuss how these codes are made, how to utilize them, and what exclusions to be aware of.
Learning Outcome(s): Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
Explain the process for CPT code creation
Define new time-based codes for audiology
Connect these codes and NCCI edits to exclusions for accuracy
