Description: This presentation offers an overview of the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP) and the ways its services support treating therapists and patients across the state. It will also introduce key components of functional AAC assessment and implementation for adults and their families. Emphasis is placed on promoting communication autonomy, meaningful interaction, and effective collaboration to ensure person-centered, sustainable AAC use.
