Ashley Perkinson, Lobbyist.

Ashley Perkinson grew up in Archdale, North Carolina and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Journalism in 1998. She received her law degree from UNC Chapel Hill School of Law in 2001.

After law school, Ashley practiced commercial litigation at Kilpatrick Stockton and Everett Gaskins Hancock and Stevens. Ashley began lobbying in 2005 and founded Perkinson Law Firm in 2010 with a focus on government relations and nonprofit law. She represents both national and statewide organizations and associations at the North Carolina General Assembly. Ashley enjoys volunteering in the community and currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the North Carolina Symphony, as chair of the Symphony's External Affairs Committee, and chair of the Symphony's Strategic Planning Committee. Ashley also formerly served as president of the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Wake County, chair of the Distinguished Guests Committee of the Junior League of Raleigh’s 2013 Inaugural Ball, secretary of the Wake County Bar Association, and chair of the Wake County Bar Association Bylaws Committee. In 2011, Ashley was named by Triangle Business Journal as one of the Triangle’s 40 Under 40.

Beginning July 1, 2018 the NCSHLA Board of Directors and Ashley in collaboration with the Professional Affairs Committee will begin outlining legislative priorities for audiologists and speech-language pathologists. Progress will be reported to NCSHLA leadership in a bi-monthly report and Active Members will receive important legislative updates as they occur. Ashley shares our vision of transparent communication with Members on issues that matter the most.
