Distinctive Home & Healthcare is currently seeking a full time Speech Pathologist to work at the EDIS facility at the Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.

Responsibilities:

In this position, the Speech Pathologist will provide treatment and consultation to the adolescent dependents of our military service members.
• Provide a full range of speech pathology services in accordance
with privileges granted by the Commanding Officer (e.g. evaluation,
remediation, counseling, appropriate referral, and management of all
cases of speech, language, and voice disorders per current ASHA and
applicable MTF guidelines)
• Provide, upon physician referral, evaluation, and treatment
programs for basic and more complicated communications disorders
including: articulation, language, fluency, resonance phonatory, and
neuromuscular problems.
• Select, administer, and interpret commonly used diagnostic
tests including vocabulary, articulation, and language batteries for
children.
• Refer patients to physicians, audiologists, or other health
care providers as appropriate.
• Select appropriate non-laryngeal (non-vocal) communication
devices.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a Master's degree in Speech Pathology or
Communication Disorders from a school accredited by the Council on
Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Pathology (CAA)
• Must maintain a current certification of Clinical Competency in
Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SPL) for ASHA.
• Must have a current, full, active and unrestricted license to
practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Must possess two years of direct speech language/language
experience within the last three years with early intervention or
preschool aged children.
• BLS & PALS Certification (American Heart Association)
