North Carolina has two programs that prepare students for work as an SLP Assistant. Assistants work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and may perform a variety of services in accordance with a treatment protocol.

SLP Assistant Training Programs
- Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute - The Speech Language Pathology Assistant curriculum prepares graduates to work under the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats individuals with various communication disorders.
